It is the technology that is unanticipated that excites us the most. For example we have recently seen the ability to scan credit cards on a smartphone. This is probably something that many have thought of over the years, but it is something that I personally didn’t think of before it happened.
When people see technology that they didn’t anticipate it’s like a magic trick where the outcome is a total surprise to the audience.
The real trick is coming up with a bit of technological magic that is unanticipated.
